Notably, Prydz’s afters set was top 5 I’ve ever been to. I guess I can put them money toward Ultra 2025 which will be my first time (plus TML W2 if I can get GJ glamping).

The other day after the song came out, Porter did an Instagram Live video (part of which Rezz was on congratulating him for the song coming out) in which he said something to the effect of "I wanted to bring the fun back. The songs on my last album were emotionally heavy, and I listened to Nurture the other day and I still stand by those songs, but I wanted to have more fun with my music and that's what Cheerleader is." Idk, I've listened to it a bunch of times in the past couple days and I love it

Porter is a specific vibe. I'd describe it as "EDM but instead of dancing you hug all your friends when the beat drops" Edit: caught Saka, Truth, and Boogie T last night. Ultra trip report - day 1 got pissed on hard but Maddix in the pouring rain is a set I'll never forget. Went to KNTXT at Factory Town and it was one of the best lineups I've ever seen. Waiting until 5am through a 2hr Charlotte set really tested my patience, but Nico Moreno came out ripping. At Bayfront my friend group was a bunch of lameass main stage girlies so I got dragged in there a bunch of times, and next year I absolutely will be ditching them to make up for the missed sets this year. ASOT got rained out but Armin played a trance set at main stage so that was a nice treat. Chris Liebing and Giuseppe Ottaviani are severely underrated and if you've never given them a listen you should.

 Straight up rave in KC last night. Chee and Potions headlined a 360 stage upstairs which ended up being mostly trap EDM and glitch hop. They had the smaller club next door open with a stack of local guys spinning jungle and dnb. All the other stages ended just in time for everybody to pack into the main venue for Ivy Lab and Of the Trees who put on an absolute clinic in bass music. Ice cold water bottles were free of charge at the bar. Hell of a party.
