Years of modern military shooters and this is the point where you choose to take exception to using soldier death to sell videogames lol

There really isn't much relation between filesize and content, it says more about how fancy the art assets are than anything.

RazzleDazzleHour posted:I read like five posts about this game while I was standing in GameStop deciding whether or not to buy a Switch. I now own a Switch. It's not gonna make much of a difference, the DLC weapons are as good as the weapons you find in World 1 but are outclassed by the weapons you start finding in World 2. It'll save you some cash early on. Amiibo weapons fall into the same category it seems.

I just finished World 2 and holy poo poo what an intro for Peach! I ended up with Rabbid Mario and Peach for that boss battle and I think I'm in love with shotguns now.

I'd like to see what a team of Luigi, Peach, and Rabbid Mario could get done but there's always co-op.

I've had to drive myself off the Luigi/Rabbid Mario combo, it's so good and versatile but I've hardly touched Peach and I don't think I've played with Rabbid Peach since World 1

100YrsofAttitude posted:Sorry if this has been asked, but what's the multiplayer like? Is it true local split-screen multiplayer like Mario Kart or is it just a lie like in Splatoon 2? Local same-screen co-op challenges. Each player picks two heroes, and during gameplay the players can freely hand off control to one another. Co-op challenges are separate from other modes and you have to make progress in the single player campaign to unlock them.

Just got Rabbid Yoshi and I'm not entirely sure what his deal is but I'm always down for more forced movement abilities and I finally have access to the good shield Hoppers use. Also his dash looks like a straight-up better version of what Rabbid Peach has going on. Rumblebangs: how do they work? If I'm firing at someone behind cover does each individual shot have a chance of hitting the target? Is this a good way of destroying cover without explosives? There's no spread, right?

This Bowser jr fight is kicking my rear end, the tactical overview is kind of deceptive when dealing with characters who are this large.

Finished the game yesterday and I can't believe how well Yoshi's guaranteed critical ability synergizes with his rumblebang, it's crazy. Weakest characters are probably Rabbid Yoshi and Peach, I think. Rabbid Yoshi has a very weak dash and you rarely need to dash that many times, and his forced movement ability doesn't synergize with his weapons like Rabbid Mario's does. Peach is a shotgun-toting monster that has a lot of trouble closing distance and you can't use itchy feet on her. She's very good when you've got her in a good place but between her bad movement and her overwatch being extremely good at hitting friendlies she's very challenging to use well imo. 100YrsofAttitude posted:Peach is pretty much custom-made for escort missions. She keeps your toad fully healed if you're jumping off with Mario every turn, which lets you take more risks with the little dude such as leaving them in an advanced position with little cover. The 3rd man can then be a vanguard or protect your rear (why you'd ever protect your rear is beyond me though). Huh, I never thought to use her like that, but that's pretty clever! The siren song of Speedy Luigi was too great for me.
