Not a dealbreaker, but the game not being 60fps is slightly a let down since it's a Nintendo game. Music is dope tho. I've never played XCOM so this is an interesting new game experience for me! Is there some way to like... heal between battles? If you die do you have to start the whole world over again? How does this work. Mario is on 80 HP right now and I haven't fully got my head around this type of game yet so I'm gonna be making mistakes early on I think. I think I saw an "easy mode" option at some point when I started but I don't wanna do that

One of my favorites was when an enemy turned a corner and Mario automatically shot him and then the camera zoomed way back to Luigi who sniped him so hard it knocked him back out of bounds.

I don't know HOW I managed to get this within 13 turns. It felt like I was taking my sweet rear end time getting through this one because the big guys infinitely respawn. I'll say, this battle especially really hammered home how important the dash attack is. Granted it certainly helped that I got lucky with a few shots and knocked some of the big guys off the screen and also inked the last one I fought right as it got next to both Mario and Luigi. I also got a loving sick shot with Mario where he combo'd with himself where he crit an enemy, the enemy went flying and the flying trigged Mario's special move and he shot him AGAIN while in the air and the dude went flying out of bounds. It was fuckin awesome. This game needs a highlight system I am genuinely shocked at how much I'm enjoying the game. The actual xcom didn't interest me in the slightest, and it frankly still doesn't even after playing this, but I'm glad I took the risk on buying this game cause it's really really fun. I can't ever make burn cooperate properly and I just don't find honey all that satisfying to use. Ink is good when it comes through in a clutch. I loving love the poo poo out of bounce and will equip that poo poo as much as I can. Sending the enemy flying out of bounds or even throwing the big guys way the gently caress back ruining all their already slow progress is just so so satisfying. Also the fact that several of us can do several different tactics and each of them seem to work for us is a huge plus to this game. It's probably really tough to make a game where you have all these choices to use in fights but in the end there's only one thing that everyone ends up using (Bioshock tends to suffer from this, WoW and Heroes of the Storm SUPER suffers from this) so it's cool when there's a game like this where you actually have have totally different tactics from another player and not feel like you're intentionally gimping yourself

It also feels like on Ubisoft's side, they tried to make the Rabbids a bit more charming and it ends up working pretty well. Both Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Peach have actual personalities and the Rabbid that is causing all the chaos is adorable. It also helps that they made the lovely rhoomba thing so much of an rear end in a top hat to make the Rabbids so much better in comparison

Is that what happens when you use your character to step on the pad? I always just used Luigi's RC car to activate the buttonedit:  Just had an amazing interaction I didn't even know was possible. I'm doing one of the world 1 challenges, and I used rabbid Mario to attack several of the smasher guys at once. This prompted both to come at me AT THE SAME TIME (which I didn't know was possible) and both of them were on either side of me. That world 3 boss was A++++++ But man. I lost a perfect on it at the VERY last minute, a pretty wounded rabbid luigi moved, triggering the big dude's overwatch (I had no idea he even activated an overwatch ability), which STONED him leaving him in a really vulnerable spot and I had no way of getting in between them or any ability to do... anything to save him. He one shot rabbid luigi the very next turn and cost me my perfect.

FUUUUCKing god Rabbid Mario is the MVP of this game Rabbid Mario, Mario and Luigi is a loving broken combo sometimes. I just did 4-2, and I vamp-critted four rabbids at once with Rabbid Mario after jumping into the middle of them and magnetizing them all to me. Cleaned them up with the others, and then the rest of the rabbids that were spawned were all killed by bouncing crit overwatch attacks from Mario and Luigi. I literally did the italian MWAH whatever hand gesture in real life it was such a beating. Rabbid Mario 4 life
