I would rather an adaption of the Enishi arc into anime than more manga, though without Satou's original voice actor it might not be the same. Still, Kenshin was my favorite series for a while so I'll give this a shot.

Oh man I forgot how silly the villains are in Kenshin. Then again the Kyoto arc had a guy as big as a house so I guess these new ones aren't too much of a stretch.

That article says his wife is working on the manga with him. So he kept both his career and relationship despite this. That is crazy.
