Mana is the best character, no debates needed.

Also it took entirely too many pages for me to stop calling the MC Nanako.

Mana learning to weaponize Nakano's telepathy against her is simply amazing.

Unhinged Nakano is a piece of work.

Super Jay Mann

All of that angst and that existential crisis beforehand was more than worth it for everything going on right now.

I dunno, there are plenty of trees Toda would do exceptionally well at portraying.

Super Jay Mann

The question is how would Nakano fare in Saki-universe Mahjong.

Super Jay Mann

Another excellent Mana face in panel 1.

Nakano has spent the last 20 pages just digging deeper and deeper, she might as well just keep going and see where she ends up.

Nakano Ayako: Possibly dumber than Tomo?!?!

Braids girl going straight at him, I like her already.

Super Jay Mann
Nov 6, 2008

I like how both Braids girl and Sano are wasting no time marking their territory once they got in, while Nakano and Toda spent all this time waffling and bring dumb and awkward.

Toda's sister has good taste in games.

Is Momiji as powerful as Mana?

Super Jay Mann
Nov 6, 2008

A poker face so strong even a telepath can’t read it.

Better not play any bluffing games with her any time soon Ayako.

I've been suffering Mana withdrawal, this is a good page.

Sano-kun picked a winner, he better not screw this up for himself.

Super Jay Mann

Momiji is very strong.

65 yen for a Mana is quite the bargain.

Also Sano is going for it hard, what a trooper.

Super Jay Mann
Nov 6, 2008

Toda is a certified dumb dumb so there’s a whole myriad of things he could’ve done to piss off Nakano.

Also a serious lack of Mana in this continuation.

Title could not be any more appropriate.

Three strips in and Nakano is already at Defcon-1 meltdown mode.

I missed this manga so much.

Super Jay Mann

Nakano continues to be an idiot, to my never ending delight.

Super Jay Mann

Nakano and Misuzu are queens of the self-own.

Super Jay Mann
Nov 6, 2008

This is almost exactly paralleling when Nakano told Mana about her powers.

I assume Nakano won't be doing that specifically but she's running out of options so she has to take some sort of action, though I expect it to be silly and dumb as befitting her.

Super Jay Mann

Our Mana is sufficient for today at least.

I curse myself for hating Mana when she first showed up. What a turnaround.

Yashima continues to low-key be Best Boy.

Poor Nakano is just falling apart. At least we're getting some amazing faces out of this.

Mana finding new ways to use Aya's telepathy against her will never not be amazing :allears:

As a fellow victim of terrible fashion sense, I can attest to the fact that choosing my wardrobe is a quick and rough process consisting of quickly asking myself, in order of importance, 1) Does the piece of clothing fit? 2) Is the piece of clothing comfortable, or at least tolerable? and 3) Am I drawn to, amused by, or in some other fashion interested in the piece of clothing?

Repeat for everything I need/want and I'm done. Any considerations beyond those fall squarely into a vortex of rules and complications that make college-level mathematics seem like reciting the alphabet.

In short I empathize with Ayako waaaaay too much.

Super Jay Mann

Her birthday is November 8th, the school year ends in March if I remember correctly, so I imagine at best University entrance exams are 2-3 months away, which sounds like a lot but assuming she has to maintain her high school responsibilities and only has the weekends off in the first place I can understand the pressure to spend as much preparation time as possible. I mean her literal future is at stake here. Not everyone has the supernatural ability to ace every exam without an ounce of studying like I did some people I know.

There's also Christmas break but if I recall that isn't even that long in Japan, correct me if I'm wrong.
