You forgot to mention the Oyvind Thorsby thread!

https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3751052

Thorsby does the BEST webcomics, including his MsPaint magnum opus, Hitmen for Destiny:

And his current ongoing work, Trixie Slaughteraxe for President:

Tim Jones manages to answer the question: how could I make this mess even worse than it already is:

It's interesting how Allison is showing Lottie et al and their perception of Tim.

I can see the rest of the story being a divide between how Tim views himself and his actions (a well-intentioned Everyman who's been the victim of a shocking run of bad luck) and how the kids view him (a dangerous and egomaniacal lunatic).

I bet the story ends with the kids righteously booting him through a portal into another dimension or something, while a much put-upon Tim wails: "why is EVERYONE against me??"

The look on Tim's face when he realises he's trapped in a garage with Mildred and with only a fork to defend himself with.

Meanwhile in Scarygoround, the most incompetently planned mystery investigation ever continues to unravel:

John Allison has made the least surprising announcement of the year.

Ahahahahaha he really can't let his comfort blanket go. Perhaps he could compromise by doing another Giant Days: take one established character and stick them in a entirely new environment, with new people? It worked for Esther.

Well, that was a surprisingly rapid development.

I like to think that John Allison has an absolutely enormous wall chart with mugshots of hundreds of his characters on it, all connected up with arrows and flowcharts and times and dates and he consults it as he sketches.

Oh hey, after yesterday's cliffhanger the one thing I really wanted was a segue into Desmond loving Fishman.

Is this possibly the least unexpected webcomic-related sentence anybody could write?

I just check Ava's Demon once a month or so: if there's new pages cool, if not, I'm not surprised.

Unsounded is a gorgeous comic, but I eventually dropped it because the story started to feel to me like it was designed to prioritize being fun to write over being fun to read. That's a bit of a vague thing to say but I stand by it.

It's great but it'll blatantly never get finished.

Just read through all of Stand Still Stay Silent and wow, drat. How is this not listed in the All Stars section?

Beautiful artwork but too many of the characters are super-annoying?

Doesn't look like he has the personality to be a regular character.

Whatever happened to the promised Robert Cop series, anyway? I think Alison had a crisis of confidence and scrapped it.

I love these next generation Tackleford kids. Really charming.

I don't! I'm hoping they turn out to be cannon fodder for the horrors of Wendlefield, so the Proper mystery kids can get on and do stuff.

I should really have said post and avatar but eh, :effort:

Houses are a posh school thing in the Uk, part of the school's marketing to big up their ancient and exclusive traditions. Normal schools sometimes set up their own House system as a sort of cargo cult imitation: they imagine that posh kids are successful because of poo poo like that rather than because they're rich and well-connected.
