poo poo got real in sword interval. That panel with all the hands is grotesque. In a cool way though

Today’s mare internum is gross. It really petered out story wise but the art was very cool and good

It also petered out in the sense that the author went off the grid for over a year between updates or some poo poo.

I also try not to but when it gets to a certain point i just can’t keep interested in something that seems to be on the permanent back burner. Like String Theory.

I would like to clarify that it’s not an entitlement thing, it’s completely fine to let a project lapse. poo poo happens!

nine-gear crow posted:Derelict is hauntingly beautiful and very good, but it took seemingly forever to figure out what it wanted to be and say, and then sadly disintegrated shortly after it made up its mind. I really hope Ben gets back to it one day, or can at least figure out how to get it going and making money the same way that Sword Interval is for him now too. Sword interval is kinda approaching its ending so I wouldn’t be surprised to see fleuter taking another whack at it

Octopie has reached the Jane and marigold part of its author commentary reruns. Nice to get the authors perspective on a storyline that came over very hackneyed to me at the time. I still don’t think it’s particularly good but I definitely have a bit more appreciation for it now

The marigold/Jane plot line was a huge swing and miss for me first time around and it still is now too but octopie was already great before the transition to color, it’s such a treat to read after that move.

I don’t know if it’s been shared ITT before but one of my favorite webcoms, Power Nap, is about to wrap up. The art has been consistently great and the story has gone off the rails a little bit but that’s kind of been the point. I would strongly suggest starting from the beginning with it and enjoying it with a large coffee. http://www.powernapcomic.com/d/20110617.html

Yeah, it’s ramped up a bit over the past year but it definitely took an eternity. Between this, string theory and broodhollow I’m surprised this is the one that’s actually being finished.

I read something once about how the characters in dumbing of age are based on Dave willis’s childhood imaginary friends. Then later he made porn of them to sell on slipshine. Pretty hilarious
