The Management posted:um, who's running away from it? it's going to be in every major hardware platform soon everyone who offered up their patents for royalty free use to the aom in exchange for a codec that they can actually use without having to negotiate terms with two patent pools and a few individual companies and doesn't require royalties on content encoded with it. the h.265 stakeholders have loosened the screws a bit, but h.265 licensing terms are still pretty bad
