If this guy is asleep for a significant period every morning after he finally shows up, isn't he leaving himself vulnerable? You could remind him of that, if necessary with a club across the back of the neck. Or, if you don't want to commit criminal assault and battery, just keep recording how late he is, and his eventual time of awakening, and leave a nice little report for whoever replaces you, so they don't have to make the mistake of thinking this guy's a pal. Either way, good luck in your next job.
