Please ffs follow the rules, it's very easy. A wise poster once told me: "sleep owns". 1. Don't shitpost/flame. Nobody cares about your negative opinions and impulsive shitposting behavior here. 2. Please add context to the music you post. Keep it work-safe and use proper warnings using this thing you can paste.: code:

I can't fall asleep to music at all, but I highly recommend the MyNoises app. I use it nightly and it has nature sounds, industrial sounds, ambient noise, wordless vocals, drones, etc. I hope this fits the spirit of your thread.

dutch minialmist composer by the name of simeon ten holt composed "horizon" in the 1980s -- composed for four pianos, the piece mainly was a bunch of short refrains that were repeated over and over for as long as that particular player felt like playing. so it was a piece that changed tone gradually and it really puts me in a state perfect for napping: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pzp1-oeNL5E

If you have DirecTv, there's a bunch of music channels that you can play all the time. I like 866, which is 'light classical'. They play everything from Medieval music to Copeland. It's generally peaceful and soothing.

Yobgoblin posted:I'll check them out if I have trouble resting later. Thanks. The Campfire Headphase and Tomorrow's Harvest albums are permanently on my sleeping/napping playlist. They're both so pretty and I find BoC's melancholy nostalgia really soothing. Music Has The Right to Children is kinda creepy, though, and Geogaddi's pretty much Forboding: The Album, so avoid those for sleeping purposes. I used to fall asleep to Sigur Ros when I was in middle school, these were my two favorite songs. I had a terrible time falling asleep when I was young and it would take about two full albums before I'd finally nod off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlPtmws131o Starálfur https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZTb8WxEW78 Hoppípolla Nowadays my go-to is Black Marble, something about the singer's droning yawn voice knocks me right out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5MuY136zUE Actually kind of stinks because I'd love to possibly see them in concert someday but I can barely keep my eyes open when I try to watch one of their music videos, something about the voice absolutely puts me to sleep. In a good way.

Video game soundtracks are my go to for naps. Kirby's Epic Yarn or selections from Super Mario Galaxy usually. Drink some whiskey and coke and then put on Pumaman. You'll either fall asleep to the theme music and Mike and the bots or you'll at least be entertained. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7L5bv2mS6lI Mitchell, Hobgoblins, The Final Sacrifice or The Legend of Boggy Creek II are also great choices. I don't really have a link, but I also watch the Rifftrax versions of The Room and Birdemic to fall asleep.
