I'm playing through this now and love it to death so far. The art is awesome, the animation is beautiful and the mechanics are really fun and fair. Also the first boss is a Fleischer Bros version of a DQ slime which is really neat

The only thing that really pisses me off in this is how they shoot projectiles by making a little gun hand, instead of shooting them out of the straws on their heads. It's like the most obvious thing on earth wtf....
