There's a crack in the case so it can't hold oil so I figured I'd maybe be able to get another 1000 miles or so so bought a replacement but figured I need to let the old one die because there's no used market for a cracked transmission whatsoever so I might as well get the last of its life out of it. 15,000 miles later it still hasn't failed and isn't making any strange noises and I've confirmed a couple times it's actually leaking to empty by sticking a tube down the fill hole and seeing if I can pump any oil out. Sounds pretty silly considering how easy it is to change one of those and you have the parts on hand.
