typically the answer is, yes you can do the mac thing on windows if you're willing to download some 3rd party program from a website

and also gently caress, gently caress roughly with your computer for hours when that thing inevitably breaks

i'm curious, why telegram instead of signal

people are very enthusiastic about telegram bots and stuff

telegram also doesn’t do end to end encryption by default, you gotta start a secret chat which most people indeed don’t use. i haven’t heard about anyone using signal (apart from people i introduced to it). whatsapp is very popular and that’s e2e so there’s that, but telegram deffo wins among russian devs

The Surface Book 2 is aimed at graphic pros, but with a stout NVIDIA 1060 GPU, it's a tempting gaming machine, too. As we observed during our review, gaming drains the battery pretty fast, though. Worse, The Verge noticed that the power supply can't actually charge the battery fast enough to prevent it from draining in some cases.

so i guess nobody at microsoft actually bothered to sit down and use the surface book intensively at any point during development lol

have to touch a Microsoft this week while my MacBook gets a facelift and battery replacement for free. it still sorta sucks. I got a big fat dell with a detachable battery and a nipple to try and offset the badness of the trackpad and a screen that makes me reach for my glasses

on the plus side non-TPM Bitlocker is no longer a huge pain in the rear end. it’s still incredible that you have to janitor group policy to enable such a basic data protection feature in tyool 2018 and it isn’t on by default
