I've never seen anyone give any sort of explanation, and when trying to type that way myself I've found it to be really painful because my wrists tense up so much i have a non-buckling spring model m lying around that actuates only if you bottom it hard it is even louder than the model m and actually quite nice to type on

i just realised loose cherry mx switches (and 100 unit baggies of chinese mx knockoffs even more so) are really loving cheap for reasonable quality momentary switches i will order a whole shoebox full of the things to use as pushbuttons in my random rear end electronics projects
