I got a real old collectable keyboard of ebay which turns out not to work with anything invented after 1999 (one of you goons is going to get it for yosmas lol) but now Ive got the new keyboard bug.

Does anyone have any opinions on the the Vortex Core, or other 40% keyboards in general? I'm really tempted to get one but a bit worried that such a minimalist keyboards will actually be a bad idea even tho I mostly write prose.

Kailh Copper switches (similar to Cherry Browns but actuate after a shorter distance) with some PBT keycaps from aliexpress, and some tablet stands for the tenting.

I use a layout based on this one but qwerty rather than colemak: https://configure.ergodox-ez.com/layouts/Malb/latest/0

i cannot believe anyone using that is actually doing any real work

As the session was drawing to an end and the participants where preparing for the group picture, I saw Stallman trying to put back his shoes on. I noticed that it seemed difficult for him to do that so I asked, “Richard, do you need help?”. And he said, yes and mumbled something about pain on his shoulders if he stretched his arms towards his feet.

And so there I was, at the right place and right time, to help Richard Stallman put back his shoes on. I’m sure this is a non-significant event in the overall chain of events in the IT world. But I can say to myself, I have paid back a little bit to the founder of FSF. If not for his work, the Internet might be a different thing and I may be somewhere else.

uh... I have it on good authority that rms has no trouble reaching down to his feet
