So there's this game you probably? haven't heard of called Tower Unite. It's a game where you get to decorate your own virtual house. And more importantly, visit the homes of random internet strangers, safari style. In this thread I'm gonna post dumb screenshots of strange poo poo I've seen, hopefully a new update every week or so. I try to only post screenshots of stuff I actually thought was somehow funny or particularly bizarre, like yeah almost every house has anime porno on the wall but not every one is an elaborate custom built porno museum, I'd rather post the latter. Here is a link to my previous posts in the Games Screenshots thread where I've posted stuff from this game before. If you have the game and would like to post your findings as well, please do!  So what is this game even about? You might ask. Well the short summary is that it's kind of an online hangout game. There are several minigames to play (bowling, golf, laser tag, etc), all of which can be played with others. Playing these games gives you in game currency, which you can then spend on things like your character's appearance or more importantly, things to decorate your condo with. Every piece of furniture you see in these screenshots had to be bought at an in-game store with earned money and manually placed in these houses. For the record, there are no micro transactions or anything like that, it's all just in-game currency. This game started life as Gmod Tower, a mod for Garry's Mod. Tower Unite is a standalone commercial product, I believe by the same developers as Gmod Tower. Apparently it can be played with up to 16 players at once, and everyone golfs at the same time so there's no waiting around forever per shot. Virus is a FPS mode where one person becomes a zombie and must try to touch the other players to spread the infection while the others try to kill them to stay uninfected. Round is over when everyone is infected or a time limit runs out. It's still a bit unpolished but it is pretty drat fun regardless. Bowling is bowling, but you can customize your ball and stuff and recently the physics have started working a lot better than they used to and I've been getting way better scores so hell yeah. Laser Tag was added recentely, you run around in an indoor arena and try to zap each other, pretty straightforward. Better with more people. Little Crusaders is a somewhat more unique game based on a game mode from Gmod Tower that was based on Mother 3 (The Gmod Tower version had the Ultimate Chimera instead of a dragon.) You have to try and push the button on the back of a dragon to defeat it. Players take turns being the dragon or the knights trying to stop it. That game seems to have a bit of a skill ceiling I don't quite understand, because boy are other players wayyy better at it than I am. Planet Panic is kind of like a capture the flag mode but with several small orbs instead of a flag, winner is whoever gets the most at their base when the timer runs out. It's considered to be in alpha and there isn't a whole lot to the game as of now. And there are other games like Trivia, a game where you try to type words really fast, and several different casino games that you can waste hours / all your money on trying for a jackpot. And of course, several other games planned for the future that are still being worked on. Should I rush out to buy this?? I dunno. That's up to you. The game is $15 and still in early access. They do a new patch every so often once some new features are ready. I would warn that this game is like, full of furries, anime pedos, and racists. Sometimes all at once. The global chat is like almost always gonna have some edgelord droppin n-words to look tough or whatever. But hey, if you're reading this thread you read SA so, you know how the internet can be. It is also not super-mega-active as far as user counts go. Some nights there's less than a hundred people on the whole game, sometimes more like two or three hundred. Major patches usually kicks it up an extra hundred or two for the night. It's also not the best optimized game in the world, your performance will vary wildly. This has gotten much better over time with patches but it's still an issue at times (especially in houses with a LOT of items placed) If anyone has further questions about the game feel free to ask in here and I'll do my best to answer. Anyway we're here to laugh at strange houses so let's get back to some pictures. Here's a bit of a "Best Of" my previous postings.

For this post I'm gonna spotlight a pretty rad place I've only seen online a few times that always impresses me with the elaborate poo poo they've built and the neat tricks they've used to build it. First thing you see on loading it up is this spooky house     Unfortunately that part has always been under construction, I don't think they ever finished the whole inside of it. They did however add some road out front of it  Wander out past the road and you'll find this fancy cabin  These sinks always impressed me, dumb as that sounds. It's made mostly of just scaled canvas cubes, but the faucet is a showerhead and the knobs are salt and pepper shakers embedded into the cubes so only the tops show. It's neat, I dunno.   The furnace is also built from canvas cubes / cylinders, and the wood part in the foreground is normally a thing that stands vertically so they've managed to install it sideways and hide the legs.  This ladder is all canvas items put together too  And finally there's this bigass barn      Overall it seems kind of normal maybe, but considering that map is just a flat nothing space and all of that poo poo was built by hand, mostly out of primitive shapes, I think it's pretty cool.

Halloween events were fun but kinda broken, hopefully they'll be smoothed out in the next day or two. Lots of fun new Halloween items. I got a bunch of screenshots I'll post later. They also added a new thing where you can see players from other servers on all servers, currently as little pac-man ghosts  There's an event where graves rise up on the beach and you click on them to get FORGOTTEN REMAINS, which you then feed to the cauldron, and it gives you a random Halloween item. Alternatively, there's another event where one of four characters will spawn somewhere in the lobby map and you can trick or treat with them to get an item. Here they are:      Obviously the best Halloween item is the Spooky Gun which is like the confetti gun but it blows out ghosts and candycorn.  Some others are throwable knives and cleavers which enterprising players are already finding uses for (sadly they do not intersect with players at all. Yet?)  But somehow, they work on ghosts  The eyeballs are good too, since they will track players walking by and follow them around  They also added jack o lanterns that can take a monochrome custom texture so you can do dumb poo poo like these I made  This guy has a username that starts off the same as mine so this was slightly creepy to walk in and see. I assume he's not talking about me...but how can I ever be sure??

It's pretty cute, yeah. You can even get a miniature version of the "other server" player ghosts as a pet that will hover next to your head.

Screenshot time.     The Bone Zone is a talk show of sorts that happens live in-game from time to time. They did several episodes around Halloween and I managed to be present for a couple, it was interesting to say the least. This episode had several new oculus products as it's sponsor.           This is, no joke, right at the entrance of a multi-floor rooftop hentai museum.   Hmm, what could this be...      I broke several of these rules, because I am a rebel.

The collumn is the stripper pole-esque outdoor lamp thing, and the steps are all another outdoor lamp, manually placed and colored the whole way up. Always seemed like way too much work to me.

Something changed for me a few updates back with TVs. These days I can only control one per session, ie I can reload the house and use a different one but I can't actually get a second media queue to activate. Other people can use one too, far as I can tell. It kind of put a cramp on my "two projectors lined up to overlay each other" on my roof but I never used that much anyway. If I get someone's help it still works but yeah it's weird.

On Christmas Eve I accidently threw a pretty badass tower party, somehow. Had like a dozen people at any given time in my sealab, everyone just kinda chillin out to music on the projector and having a good time. poo poo went on for hours. It's a towermas miracle.

Yo a fairly simple but major patch hit tonight. First off they added a condo that's basically the lobby theatre place but you can decorate it. It's ok. They also made major updates/fixes to the underwater condo which are rad as hell, like now the tubes in the basement warp you to and from the other domes. And most importantly of all, you can now scale items. You can go 10x original size or like, 0.1 I think size? This is fun as hell and is gonna open up so much bullshit. here is me, dead, on the top of a giant beer  fuckin around with a quick google search and a scaled up body pillow  basketball: easy mode  And hey since it's been awhile since I posted rando bullshit screens, here's some rando bullshit screens. Hey I haven't updated this thread in awhile, sorry about that. TOWER NEWS: A major patch hit, many new items are now on sale, and a new minigame now exists called Zombie Massacre. It's basically a topdown twinstick style shooting game, but it has several classes with their own abilities, is 6 player co-op, and has a shitload of different weapons and stuff. It's fun. But I know you wanna see random bullshit, so let's party. These two are for furry porn but I loving laughed. It's hard to tell from static images but the vending machine, when activated, shoots out cans of soda. They uh, collide with the second image in a humorous fashion.part 1 part 2                   Thanks for joining us on safari again, and as always,

I am, off and on. This weekend had double tickets at the arcade so it got somewhat crowded in there. Usually i see something like 200-700 players online, there's a count on the main start screen in the corner you can check. Time of day / what day it is can def have an effect. If you stay up late you can sort of notice when it must be PC time in other countries, like certain hours of the night you'll see more people from Turkey, Korea, Japan, etc. Tokyo server seems more active on like Saturday nights and stuff like that. People will be in various places including: their own hosted houses, or visiting other ones in the game world servers actually playing or prepping to play a minigame on the plaza servers hanging out or playing the plaza minigames maybe even just sitting idle at the main menu There are maybe?? a shadow number of people just hanging out in unlisted private houses too at any given time. Like if you see 100 people online but not that many on listed servers, that could be happening. When i made this thread I got mod permissions to not use timg in it, since it was gonna be mostly screenshots anyway. Sorry if it's a problem. I suppose as old as this is now, it might have been totally different mod staff at the time, hmm. I guess I can stop if I do more? And yeah houses with photos of IRL people in them weird me the gently caress out. I guess do your thing, but drat. I've seen some with what were probably like some guy posting photos of his crush or whatever and i'm like uhhhhhhhhh

I think there should be an option for friends only if you make your game from the main menu you get when you're not connected to a server. Making a game from the plaza always makes it public. I can confirm that later if you want but I am fairly sure that's correct.
