I was super disappointed in Syfy that they actually went and aired Jeepers Creepers 3 and made a big deal about having it.

Looks like Sony is hoping the Spacey stuff all blows over as there are reports that they're going to push the release date for "All the Money in the World" back to next June. They had previously announced that they were keeping the release date of late December but were dropping the Oscar campaign for Spacey's supporting role.

Yeah, I just read a thing about it in Variety, apparently it is doable because Spacey's scenes were pretty much him by himself and only originally took two weeks to film the first time.

Ever since it was first reported its just been a steady stream of people coming forward about how Spacey has harassed them too.

Terry Crews has officially reported his groping incident to the LAPD. It eventually came out that the man responsible was Adam Venit, a top level executive at WME, Terry's talent agency. Venit has been placed on leave pending an investigation and Crews has left WME.

The Lauer investigation had some really creepy reveals, like how he had a goddamn supervillain button on his desk that let him lock the door to his office without getting up. Thus making sure women couldn't escape.

So the CW says they did an internal investigation and since they don't have any evidence of him doing anything while employed by them they're going to keep Robert Knepper on iZombie.

I don't know why they're doing it at it isn't like he's super important to the show and could easily have been written off.

Yeah, he was one of the big break aways and was interviewed in Going Clear.

Looks like some Bryan Singer stuff might be gaining traction as he has (voluntarily?) had his EP credit removed from the TV show Legion. Fox is looking into removing his EP credit from the other X-Men show, The Gifted, but apparently that will be more difficult to swing.

Don Cheedle was signed to a 9 movie deal when he took over for Terrence Howard in Iron Man 2, I'm certain there were a couple more films left on Batista's contract. But there's reasons to try and keep actors happy even if they have a legal obligation to be in your movie.

Disney is definitely not forcing contracts as Hugo Weaving said in an interview a couple of years ago that he had multiple appearances on his contract but he wasn't interested in doing it again and when the Red Skull finally came back it was a different actor.

He's a producer for the latest A Star is Born in name only. For some legal reason he must be credited with any version made from the 1976 version onwards.

Similarly you can't make an MIB movie without the producer attached who is credited with ruining the latest film.

Hollywood has a real weird relationship with EP credits. For example when the Bryan Singer stuff came out Noah Hawley fought to get his (Singer's) name removed from the TV show Legion. Hawley later said that he and Singer had like one conversation early in pre-production and they used none of Singer's ideas. Yet somehow just because it was X-Men related at Fox Singer got an EP credit.

The other Fox X-Men TV show, The Gifted, also tried to get Singer removed as EP but apparently since Singer directed the pilot there were union rules about credits that meant they couldn't do it.

The Salva thing is kind of mind boggling because it's not like he was this huge talent before all the poo poo went down. The vast majority of his career has been post child rape conviction.

There's been some pushback on him getting work because when he went into pre-production for Jeepers Creepers 3 the casting agency for the part of Canada he wanted to film in told him to gently caress off.

Of course that didn't stop him from actually making the movie or Syfy channel paying money to air it.

Is he? He hasn't directed anything since Bohemian Rhapsody in 2018 (which he had his BAFTA nomination removed for due to the allegations after the Atlantic article), and there's nothing upcoming for him either. Even as a producer, he only has an Executive Producer credit on The Gifted from 2017-2019, and again, nothing coming up.

Again, possibly a result of all movies coming to a halt due to the pandemic. But he seems to have absolutely nothing going on right now, and hasn't for a couple of years now. And his film, Red Sonja, was cancelled back in February, before all the Covid poo poo hit the fan with movies.

Although it is hard to say if the allegations are causing his work downturn or his actions on the set of Bohemian Rhapsody where he just kind of abandoned the movie partway through filming. The second part is more of a bottom line problem which is something studios actually care about.

Sadly, this kind of poo poo isn't unheard of; I mentioned earlier in this thread that Ronny Yu tried to pull this poo poo with Katherine Isabelle on the set of "Freddy vs Jason".

Frankly, nowadays whenever I see a female nude scene in a film directed by a male, I just assume he's a pervert.

Yeah, in recent years stars have been pushing for an independent person on set who's job is to make sure that actors don't feel pressured into doing something that they don't want to do for nude/sex scenes.
