I just made the same leap a few weeks ago. I didn't bother to unpair my old watch or anything, simply went to setup the new watch and it took care of everything else for me.

I really don't care what song is playing I'd just like a simple play/pause button on the face I can tap when someone comes over to bug me while I'm working.

The watch charges super quick so it's not really a big deal. I went from 35% to 75% in the 15 mins it took me to shower this morning.
