 Sonic Forces is the newest videogame in the Sonic the grasping at straws Hedgehog series. It stars Sonic and all his dumb animal friends trying to take the world back after Dr. Will the B-list Sonic characters succeed? Who is the Infinite man? Why is this actually a sequel to Sonic Mania??? Is the game bad??? fuckfuckufckfuckfuckfuc Wheres the new Minecraft Story Mode Episode Putty you jerk I'm still doing that. This is a more casual LP and from what I hear this game is relatively short if you don't go for the replay value stuff. Joining me for this live and blind LP trainwreck is my horrendous GBS friend CharlestonJew who somehow knows stuff about this game despite having never played it. What else? Sonic is the blue blur with ATTITUDE and so is THIS THREAD! For each episode I'm going to have a small contest thing like "make your own sonic OC" or "explain how Knuckles can fly" where you can earn Sonic Points, my new cryptocurrency. Jesus, the story so far is just awful. After 25 years, it looks like Sega decided not only to read a healthy smattering of Sonic fanfics, but to indulge the people who write them. It's got the perfect balance of unnecessary grimdark (Sonic has been tortured for months, seriously, what the gently caress), stupid callbacks to other characters, and continuity with other games that works because they said so. Oh, and the "original creation do not steal" character that you get to play as for what I've heard is half the game. At least it's not Sonic 2006 levels of terrible plot, but there's plenty of game yet. I read the Polygon review of Sonic Forces and it struck me as a lot of nitpicking. They complained about how the game wants you to go fast at all times, but the problem with many 3D Sonic games is that they don't do that. Unleashed has the werehog sections, Boom was more of a 3D beat-em-up, and 2006 was just a mess. Gameplay wise, there's a lot to like. But, again, we've got time.

I still can't believe that they put Knuckles in charge of the rebellion considering one of his main character traits is that he gets routinely tricked by Robotnik into attacking his friends and he's always shown as being the "muscle" of the group. Boobs the bat is more qualified to run things.
