This was originally a movie that came out in 1970. It then became a sitcom that was very popular and had the most cleverest of humor. Even now watching reruns you can find the humor to be very funny. I could write a whole wiki on the show but Im sure you have all watched it at some point. Anyone who hasnt should seriously give the show a chance. You will be entertained. I watch it a lot because it makes me feel young. At 49 I find that looking back at old shows somehow cheers me up. What are your thoughts about MASH?

My ex was a golden girls fanatic so i watched quite a bit of it not too long ago. Basically each episode is the same. One whores out, the other one is jealous and the really old one says dirty poo poo for comic relief. poo poo show. I like MASH tho.

Klinger's scenes are a lot better without the laugh track. Actually the whole show's better without the laugh track.

MASH is very, very good. A lot of it is problematic and the main characters are serial sexual harassers/assaulters but that doesn't mean the show isn't very, very good. It just means you have to be aware of those things.

Interestingly enough it turned out there were black surgeons in the Korean war after all, just not a lot of them.

God drat MASH is loving excellent. I was livid when they took that off Netflix before I discovered Frasier. Still makes me salty now that I've gone through Frasier so many times. MASH gets waaaay better once Col. Sherman Tecumseh Potter (he was one quarter Cherokee mind you) and Major Charles Emerson Winchester III were both on the show. Made dealing with those regular Army clowns much more bearable.

I hated MASH when I was a kid because it was a show my parents watched that was full of soldiers but everyone was laughing and nobody had guns and what the gently caress it wasn't anything like GI Joe and it SUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKED. I knew I was becoming an adult when I watched it years later on one of those channels that only played old TV shows and realized that it was probably one of the best things to ever be put on TV. Also comedy MASH and whiny serious MASH are both good and deserve to be watched.
