It's really cool to see that the devs have not only delivered on a kickstarter, but managed to evolve the game into something of its own beyond the straight mario clone it started from. Also chiming in to say that Machinae is a pretty great power metal band but I also haven't listened to them in nearly ten years now. Glad to see they're still around! I always thought they have some incredible guitar going on but (and I feel bad about saying this) their singer has a kind of whiny/nasal voice that brings them down. The riff from Dark City is infectious as all hell, as is most of their stuff - but that guitar solo in the Giana Sisters track, oh man. They also did the soundtrack to Jets 'n' Guns, which is also a fun game in the vein of Raptor/Tyrian, and if you haven't played it you should... drat, this is a great musical nostalgia trip.
