Maybe all players who spear someone this game will get hurt and by regulation Brown and Green will be linebackers.

This is why it's absolutely infuriating to me that they don't call more spearing.

It's not just horribly unsafe for the offense of players it's all so horribly unsafe for the people actually doing it.

Yup. Perfect way to get a compression fx somewhere. But also great for injuring whoever you hit, so what Eifert said, call spearing lots more.

There are players on my team and other teams where you literally don't see them make a tackle where they're not spearing.

They're only letting the receivers in the cornerbacks fight this game aren't they?

That definitely could have been called DPI

The chippiness is starting to come back. If you are wondering how long it would take before a near-death on the field gets forgotten in this rivalry the answer is about 15 minutes.

What's depressing about the Shazier hit is that it doesn't really look that unusual. That tackles made probably 15 times in every game at the absolute minimum.

Just this time the spine compressed the wrong way

One of the fun things about watching Bengals versus Steelers is every once in a while the crowd will obviously react to something that's not on camera long after the whistles are blown and just immediately start groaning shouting and booing.

And the details are just kind of left to your imagination.
