Deep down you all want to root for the Patriots. It's the evil you know and have become accustomed to (and which will not go away anyway) - do you really need new bandwagon fans of some upstart team like it happened with the Seahawks or Broncos? And here is an early Christmas gift, BB dissecting a few plays from the Patriots win over the Steelers http://www.patriots.com/video/2017/12/20/belichick-breakdown-top-plays-against-steelers The best part is at the end when he looks at the "fake spike" and explains why all the Patriots knew that it's a fake (Ben signaled a play), which somehow all the Steelers missed. Eric the Mauve posted:Also the current owner still gets to pick who to sell to and Jerry Richardson would cut his own nutsack off before he would sell his team to a black rapper. It will most likely be one of the families who already own a minority share in the company, so look for the Belk or Levine family to be the next majority owner of the Panthers.

Look, no one believed in the Patriots when they were down 28-3 either, even though they are the most dominant team of the millennium, having won almost 1/3 of the Super Bowls and played in almost half of them.

MY NIGGA D-LINK posted:It's true. Im salty that know-it-all Pats posters get to make smug de facto posts re-writing the narrative of a game the Patriots literally needed a gift call from officiating to win. This salt is unnatural or something I'm not sure which call you are referring to, but I assume it's the correct application of the catch rule at the end of the game. Maybe your team and coaching staff could spend less time on Snapface and more time teaching and learning good fundamentals, so that they knew that you should not extend and slam the ball on the ground when making a diving catch. I for one am glad that every Touchdown is automatically reviewed because otherwise the Steelers might have gotten an undeserved win.

Which team is dangerously thin at LB and could give Harrison the opportunity to take revenge on the people who cut him?

While I love Jimmy G and believe he is the real deal, I would wait with a judgement of the trade for at least another season. We have seen time and time again QBs, of whom the opponent has little to no film, being great but reverting down to the mean once opposing defenses have a better level of understanding and in the case of Jimmy G he is not some rookie playing his first snaps in the NFL but is in his 4th season after being on the same team as Brady and being coached by Belichick for his first 3.5 seasons and starting a couple of games. Same goes for Brady, who has thrown a 6 picks in his last 5 games. We have no clue whether he has hit the wall/will hit the wall next season or play for another 5 years. And if we want to judge the trade, we have to factor in that the participants had no possibility of knowing what happened to those 2 QBs down the line. Add in to that the structure of Tom's contract (very affordable for a franchise QB but big cap hit if you cut him early), his importance to the Patriots franchise and the owner and you can easily see why not one side won the trade but it was a win-win situation.
