I wasn't super into 1 either but 2 is wayyyy better. The first game was basically all about digging but in 2 the digging is just basic traversal/exploration to find new puzzles and platforming challenges. It's also very charming with good music and a neat aesthetic

I like Dig 2 because there are enemies but combat is so not the focus of the game, which I often find is the weakest part of Metroidvanias. It's 95% exploration and puzzle solving which is what I actually want out of that genre more than a fleet of bosses that you can just tank and hold the attack button down for. It also has the best movement out of any of those games

Yeah I finished it yesterday and it was a good boss fight partly due to the fact that it's the only one in the game

I bought Planet Coaster, Bomber Crew, Portal Knights, and the Humble Monthly to get The Long Dark and Dawn of War 3, and my buddy got me Vanquish and Oxygen Not Included and I got him Total War: Warhammer and Hyperlight Drifter. Pretty good Gamesmas.
