It still amazes me how amazing it looks to this day, and the movie is 30 years old. Also the song is great even though I hate musicals. But yeah it's one of those scenes I can watch over and over again. Especially considering how Saving Private Ryan used the exact same ear ringing / deafness effect of bombs exploding near the main character. In other words, you should watch Come and See (originally titled "Kill Hitler") if you haven't. The film follows a young boy around during the Holocaust of Belarus using the "long take" documentary style of filmmaking, which was groundbreaking at the time. It has some pretty disturbing footage. There's also a scene where artillery was fired right over the kid's head which was not a special effect and nearly killed the actor. It's on Amazon Video. There's an out of print DVD and an all region Japanese Blu-Ray with English subs. If you want a disc it's actually cheaper to import the Blu-Ray since to the DVD's price has inflated due to its out of print status. (I haven't seen the Blu-Ray so I'm not sure if it's just a DVD upscale or not.)
