SwissArmyDruid posted:If you need kindling THAT badly, cotton balls, each with one half dipped into petroleum jelly and stored in a film canister does the job, and is more versatile. Dryer lint also works really great for cheap kindling/fire starter. You could do the most popular thing and pack them in non-styrofoam egg cartons and cover them in wax (cut into individual pieces before the wax, it's easier) for a really lightweight and waterproof hiking option, you could stuff a jar with lint damp with used cooking oil for car/RV camping, or you could use lint in place of cotton balls in the quoted method. Back to Yurucamp though, it continues to be very good. This season has a number of really good anime going for it, between Yurucamp, Hakumei & Mikochi (arguably I'll admit, the style isn't everyone's cup of tea), Mitsuboshi Colors, A Place Further Than the Universe, and Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san.

tsob posted:So after thoroughly enjoying what's available of this totally comfortable show I realized I missed watching comfy slice of life shows since I haven't seen any in years. I watched the first season of "Encouragement of Climb" on Crunchyroll last night and must see if I can find the second somewhere since it was enjoyable, You just missed it apparently. Both seasons were up on Crunchyroll until last October.

That was one of my favorite things from Encouragement of Climb, too. The outfits there were also pretty cool.

Because it's good, and a little anticipation never hurt anyone. Though, I hope your lunch doesn't disappoint after this episode. Nadeshiko's outfit continues to be amazing.

Good ending. I keep forgetting to mention it, but there was this article on Crunchyroll about a week ago that mentions one of the things I really enjoy about this manga/anime; how it and the other characters treat Rin and her desire for solo camping.

Greblin posted:I vote Rin and Nadeshiko for best anime couple. Have you not checked out Flying Witch? It's probably my personal favorite (if only barely, Non Non Biyori is really good and Yurucamp quite comfortably snuggles up there in third), and after watching the end of this I really wanted to go back and watch Flying Witch again. There Bias Two posted:Holy poo poo that's a specific genre?! I need more! Where do I start? Among those already mentioned, I'd add Tanaka-kun is Always Listless.

SirPhoebos posted:Since they spent half the time also being a cooking anime (not that I minded in the least), what's everyone's recommendations for that genre? Sweetness and Lightning. A single Dad and his daughter go from buying pre-made store food to home cooking, with a lot of cute thrown in.

The chapter of the manga that was the girls' trip to the camping store was just translated, and it includes this little tidbit among the usual bunch of real-world information: Onean fucked around with this message at 12:15 on Apr 8, 2018 |

I thought of a business owner in my area that doesn't want to leave her dog at home alone, so she brings him to work and let's him hang around all day. The kids love it. I also work at a pet friendly hotel and employees are allowed to bring pets to work, though pretty much only dog owners do. Guests usually don't have much of a reaction, but there's some that love it and are happy to see the pets after having to leave their own at home.
