Then in Ultimates 2 you get the squad of Giant-Men, along with Cap himself, being used as soldiers in the Iraq War. Plus Cap being rolled out in front of President Bush in a big publicity parade and Nick Fury having meetings with Dick Cheney. I thought the stuff with Wasp and Cap's relationship was really good.
