The original dragonball is worth a watch, honestly. It's a pretty good mix of goofy hijinx, adventure, and fighting. Also other characters actually get to do things, so that's a huge plus.

Black Clover is an okay manga, though a lot of it feels derivative at this point because of other, better manga. The show was stuffed with filler from day-loving-one and very much feels like your typical cash grab adaptation stretched out to 52 eps.

Tsuyu, yeah. Season 1 (first 13 eps) has slow pacing to its detriment sometimes, but it's still pretty decent, and season 2 improves on the pacing dramatically and helps elevate certain moments from the source material.
