The blue wave isn't here at all. Turnout exploded, we're at like 80,90% of 2016 levels (during a *midterm*, which usually sees 50-60%) but there's no blue wave so far. We've flipped only two seats so far, we needed 25+ to win. Granted, there's still a ton of seats to go but the early results are concerning

In the final week the polls showed a mild downswing for Dems

Trump did like two dozen rallies in the final week fearmongering about the caravan and coming out with more and more outrageous lies

So the Republicans cleanly keep the Senate (and gain seats, even! So they're less likely to suffer an embarrassing defeat if someone defects, like with McCain), and either hold the House or lose it by a small margin

Trump will absolutely think he's the source of that, and he's not gonna be wrong

So we're going to see a lot more Fascism

the only good thing is a single house margin for dems will still mean all republicans will go insane
