How's the soundtrack so far? Cause this reminds me of Star Driver, as previously mentioned by others, and a big part of what made that show watchable was the music.

Understanding posted:I'm still wrapping my head around how the female partner is the interface/control console for the mechs. Their hoods are instrument clusters, their controls on their hips. They have heels (why?) Rewatching ep1 right now 0ni is wearing the appropriate suit for her mech. The female partner is the CPU of the machine while the male is the graphics card. That's why the girls can move the machine alone but it's dangerous. They don't have the processing power alone to work the machine properly, but working in tandem with the male allows everything to function smoothly on ultra graphics. The suit facilitates the connection, the display shows the various nerd stats. Zero Two is not human, and her machine is (probably) special, so she can move it alone with limited efficiency. As for the heels idk all the machines have stilt legs maybe it's a sensory thing
