They mostly have sensors that stop you from pressing too hard which is good. Didn't get that five years ago when I bought the previous one.

I was told that due to chronic medical reasons if I get an owie or the ouchies I shouldn't take ibuprofen or whatever the other medicine is called but instead "blast the pain away" with a couple heavy doses of etoricoxib. I shouldn't take etoricoxib either but it's better to get it over with quickly than to do a week or more.

I got prescribed Tramadol when I said my wrist hurt and Panacod was making me constipated. I only dared take it two times and it just kinda petrified me. Not in a scary way I mean I just sat there for a whole day.

Biplane posted:Eating oxy daily for almost a year definitely gave me a healthy fear of opiates. Yeah they work very well, but the side effects are so bad. And quitting them was even worse, I was heavily physically addicted after so long, it was an extremely bad like 4 weeks of slowly reducing the dosage. But I'm pretty sure that, without them I would straight up have killed myself at some point it hurt so bad. Yeah I just couldn't exist with how bad my wrist hurt. Good news is it got better, and then even betterer when I realized I should turn vibration off on all my game controllers. Something the doctors (I think I saw three for this particular ouchie) never thought to mention: vibration can give you RSI and also make it worse.

My experience with opiates is it did gently caress-all about the pain but I didn't mind the pain. It was there and I experienced it but it was like...nothing to do with me. Not my problem.

Consolidated Ed posted:basically every doctor ever, when a woman reports pain. blew my naive mind the first few times i witnessed it, a real "r u loving kidding me right now" type moment. There's an old - oldest in the Nordic countries - university town in Sweden called Uppsala (or Upsala in Finnish). It at least used to be a sort of household name in Finland due to the fact that a lot of economists liked to get their degrees there because they had a dogshit school that would admit anyone - even Finnish people! Even I knew the phrase "Upsalan ekonomit" as a kid, even though I had no dang clue what it actually referred to. Anyway, the archdeacon - or whatever the gently caress tuomiorovasti i.e. DOOM PROVOST is in English - of Uppsala used to be a Finnish lady for some years. She was visiting her home turf on Summer holiday one year, and managed to get a boo-boo in her leg or arm or whatever. She went to the local health centre (this was before the bougies had shut them all down) and they asked her for her name, address, and occupation. She gave her name and her Summer cottage address, but when she told the doc she was the archdeacon of Uppsala, she noticed the doctor typing "patient believes she is the archdeacon of Uppsala" on the computer. Anyway what we learn from this is that doctors should position their VDUs suchly that the patient can't see what's being typed in.

I hadn't noticed for IDK some decades that there is a serious lack of public rubbish receptacles in much of the city (there is an abundance in certain spots), because I just... don't usually produce any rubbish when I'm outside. I can't even remember how it happened that I had something I wanted to throw away once, but I had to change course to take me to a bus route (bus stops often but not always have bins). e: Oh it was probably a paper tissue I had blown my nose in big time stylee. That's the only thing I can imagine anyway.
