The government just denied our class action because the malaria medication literally drove people insane and to suicide. The next bit is pretty cyberpunk - the billionaire owners of the pharmaceutical company were mysteriously murdered, and there have been no arrests.
that billionaire murder story is wild, but lmao the author of the story certainly made some choices about the details to include

Stern said she opened the door there and turned on the lights. That's when she, Zhao and his clients saw Honey and Barry Sherman's bodies, police recount.

"Stern says it was very weird. They were far away and their heads were elevated and hanging on the railing leading into the pool," police said.

She would later tell police she thought the couple was doing "some weird yoga thing" before realizing they were actually dead, according to the ITOs.

Zhao said his clients, who were from mainland China, considered it a bad omen to see the bodies and left the home before police arrived.
motherfucker, you don't have to be from China to be shook as hell after stumbling upon a double homicide

Never post the "funny SSIDs" you and your neighbors have online. Broadcast SSIDs are public information that can be tied to a physical address. Those Google street view cars aren't just collecting photographs. There are companies that drive around parking lots to sell your car's location data and they're likely selling geolocated SSID data as well.

I've got over 600k geolocated SSIDs in a database I've personally collected mostly by bicycle. I have access to a database of a billion more. Occasionally in the past I've DM'd people a picture of their house telling them to delete the "funny wifi network names" post.

Companies like Target know who you are the moment you walk in the door. Your phone has a list of wifi networks that's quite likely to be unique to your phone. It sends out broadcasts looking for those hotspots and those broadcasts can fingerprint your device. I thought about doing it myself to know when the cops were at my apartment complex: their phones would obviously be broadcasting that there trying to connect to the wifi at the station. SSID "BVAPCITY." (I looked that up in my database, btw)

I own Ring Fit, the bit where it measures your heart rate by putting your thumb over the IR sensor is real, but you don't do that while playing the game normally for it to interrupt you like that so I'm voting fake
