Like, this poo poo has happened so many times in recent years with nazi and alt-right behavior going unchecked under the mealy mouthed umbrella of being "different opinions." To a hell of a lot of people this broke what little trust they had left in GDQ after years of people being lovely on-camera. GDQ needs to do much more to work to get it back.

I think this is the crux of it. This incident is just another in a growing pile of "GDQ should have done better". At a certain point people just look at the size of the pile and walk away.

Just for context on my perspective. I'm part of an arts nonprofit almost the size of GDQ and, 15 years before I joined, there was an incident where a board member whipped up a unilateral transphobic policy that was quickly reversed and it still haunts us. This happened over 20 years ago! I bring up my group and the second thing I hear is "Didn't y'all not let someone perform because they wanted to wear a tux instead of a dress?" It drives me nuts because my city AND state have tried - multiple times - to pass bathroom bills, and yet we get singled out for past transgressions against our community. It isn't fair. Unfortunately for us, fairness doesn't matter at all. No one cares about your organization being treated fairly. People hear a soundbyte like "GDQ thinks Nazis are just people with different opinions" and "They tacitly support MAGA" and "Didn't ban a guy for saying the n-word on stream" and you've lost. I still support GDQ, but that's a product of my privilege. None of this poo poo personally effects me, and I see the good that GDQ does and so I give them a break. I don't fault anyone for not giving them a break.

I checked in on/r/speedrun because I'm a loving idiot and got as far as a post about how yeah Hitler sucks but a world record is a world record and - hypothetically - if Hitler got the fastest time on Hamtaro for the GBA, then we should respect that.

We're doing All Main Quests for Morrowind and no OOB for Oblivion. Plain any% for both is a bit too fast.

There's 3 teams of 5 (as of the latest update) so a lot of runners. DRTChops and Puri_Puri aren't involved in the race, but BubblesDelFuego is one of the Skyrim runners, with Wall_Of_Spain and Nfro commentating. Not sure who else the thread would recognize.
