It's not like they grew up together or anything, so they're only siblings in the most technical sense of the term but when it actually focuses on the romance over dumb comedy I feel kinda uncomfortable.

Those scenes are supposed to be uncomfortable. It 's why the kiss at the end of the last episode was remarked on because it was the first that wasn't part of some weird creepy aggressive move on one of their parts.

I thought that too, but then they ultimately get together as a couple and it feels like it's basically treated as being okay now. Maybe I'm just a cynic, but I feel like a relationship dynamic as unhealthy as the start of Citrus' doesn't just get better even when the two work through some of their issues.

And more to the point, I feel like the show's actually doing a pretty good job of acknowledging and having the characters acknowledge that the hosed up ways in which they treat each other are in fact hosed up, and having the cast make efforts to move past them.

I mean yeah, it's melodramatic and certainly not the most laid-back romance of all time or anything, but I don't feel like we're really well beyond any other vaguely tempestuous trashy romance.
