The human minds ability to construct its own unique contortions of logic is impressive. People wishing prison rape on this guy, while decrying his abuses. Take a look at the people involved. The people who knew, who always know, who always help facilitate this kind of thing whether its in school, at work, at church, in prison, or anywhere its committed. Good middle class people: police, judges, lawyers, soldiers, teachers, coaches, executives, middle management, administrators, finance industry employees, sales people, priests, etc. Criminal bad people: Violent psychopaths, rapists, murderers, thieves, liars, pedophiles, etc. Its a child's fantasy that these are two mutually exclusive groups, which is why children are easy to prey on. The really dangerous ones are safely locked away where we can vicariously fantasize about totally bad rear end and righteous state sanctioned rape. Most adults are dangerous predators restrained by opportunity and reputation. Part of growing up is learning to become a productive member of society that can be counted on to be a team player who can look the other way and capitalize on the opportunity for the sake of career advancement and convenience.

What? There's more pedophiles in church than prison. Its not like child brides is some kind of historically unusual thing. Every loving time this happens, who could have imagined, a teacher, a priest, a coach, a cop, a local upstanding member of the good people of society happened to be loving kids, and there happened to be a bureaucracy looking the other way and covering it up as long as possible. We treat it as a normal act in prison and an outrageous act in wider society because of course nobody knew, even the people looking the other way. Obviously, you will personally never have your job or social standing put you in a position where looking the other way makes your life go more smoothly. You're an upstanding moral person and you only associate with the good people of society, not any of the people in positions of power and trust that do this kind of thing, nobody in this forum would ever advocate for anything unseemly of course. Only the BAD PEOPLE do this kind of thing, and only the BAD PEOPLE facilitate it. You're the GOOD PEOPLE, and the people you associate with are also of the same caliber of GOOD PEOPLE. Its very easy to have a conscience on the internet, in real life you shut your mouth and get along, or you risk any degree of consequence from arrest/police harassment to social alienation that winds up in you posting here because pointing out blatant racism and sexual assault sucks the fun out of the room. We can pretend its not a sports culture problem, and sure, maybe its not sports in and of themselves, but: if you observe how athletic kids interact with adults, and squint your eyes, you can get a pretty good feel for the sexual tension. That applies to everywhere from barely legal boys on the local wrestling team in your town, to this so-very-obvious creepy as gently caress caricature of a pedophile who happened to sharing the kiddy diddling spank material with administrators who also could't have imagined what kind of guy Droopy Dog is. I've never seen sexual tension in a math class, its a den of ugly ugly people or uptight nerds. There rarely seems to be an appropriate occasion to normalize shoulder rubs to help people relax. Its almost like the athletes are being cynically exploited with treatment and attention by authority figures sabotaging their long-term prospects by romanticizing a system that treats them as a disposable commodity that realistically offers no chance of success for 99% of the participants but satiates some physicality related need for adults that don't really care despite the Horatio Alger fantasy they're selling to kids dumb enough to trust them and athletic enough for the adults to want to look at them. Its very weird to imagine that adults comfortable exploiting kids in a position of trust would be willing to exploit them in other ways that seem to be the norm over and over and over again. I'm very, very, very weird to see that at all. Thankfully we have respectable people who don't see anything weird about the situation.
