That whole podcast is an excellent listen, as are the Kyle Busch and Terry Labonte ones.

I have been offered a opportunity to be back behind the wheel as a winning driver in a car with a charter (Locked in every race) we need a few great marketing/ Sponsorship partners to compete in 2019 I mean...Mike Wallace isn't a bad plate racer at all, I just don't see him being competitive the other 32 races a year. I'm curious as to who this would be for, too. Here's the Charter list: http://www.espn.com/jayski/pages/story/_/id/18714084/nascar-charter-system

How can I say no to a team who can barely construct a sentence? I'll hit up that AOL address for sure

I'll hit up that AOL address for sure That came from Mike's Facebook page and Jayski picked up on it, so it's Mike whose grammar skills are sorely lacking. He hasn't said which team, but I'm wondering if it's Jeff Dickerson's team that bought the 78 charter, which seems like it might have enough people behind it to make it quasi-competitive. In any event, it feels like when Terry and Bobby Labonte drove the 32 because they needed an experienced driver to give them feedback on their cars and they kinda went "Sure, why not".

How does the guy who once met Daisy Ridley and totally blew it not get one entry on the top 10? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_UppyD9XNY (I randomly found this and the end is worth the whole thing.)

I worry that he's going the sponsorbot route. He seems like a good dude and an okay driver but just kinda... eh... Especially when you compare him to someone like Ryan Blaney, etc.

He kind of has to go that route if he wants to survive in the current landscape. It's a very small number that can get by on strong personality.

True, for sure. I didn't mean to sound like it was a bad thing. He just seems a bit middle of the road.

Dude's influence is unbelievable and transcends even cup. RIP and thank you Glenn. kidcoelacanth posted:Yeah no I get where you're coming from. It's more just the nature of the beast these days. It really is. I don't know...it's good to have a guy to cheer for in cup again. I felt really lost not having Dale Jr. in it any more. It's nice to have Bowman, Larson and a few others step up though.

It's pretty obvious they have no idea if this is gonna work since they're having their biggest race of the year use 2018 rules.

I would've been fine with them doing the new aero package in one of the two races where there are two dates (like Texas) so, in case it sucks, at least you'd have the other package to fall back on which, while not great, may not have been...as bad? Truth be told, though, it can't get much worse on cookie cutters than it already is so, if you can make it look like the last couple years of IROC, it might be an improvement. It's either going to be entertaining or a colossal dickstep which somehow results in yet another way to drive fans out of the sport. No pressure.

The Roval is a 550 race when the other 2 road courses are 750. Leave it to NASCAR to gently caress up one of the bright spots from last season. I hope that is a typo.
