Does anyone know the etymology of the word pisili (which from context I guess directly translates to cat)? It'd rule if the reason cats respond so well to pspsps is because for thousands of years we've been giving them names with ps sounds in them. Does puss come from pisili?

It'd probably be like having a cat except when your cat bites you you go to hospital.

Hyperlynx posted:If they bite your hard enough, you absolutely do. Happened to a friend's mum. It turns out cat mouths are full of germs that you really do not want to get into your bloodstream! Your friend's mum was weak to cats. I've been bitten by plenty of cats and the only thing that ever happened to me is, well that's none of your business actually.

How much space would a pet donkey need? A woman around the corner from me has a small horse or pony she keeps as a pet on about a quarter acre block and it seems pretty happy.

As much as I want one they're not good solo pets. I'd have to get 2 or 3 or they'd get lonely even though I would love them so much and spend all my time with them.

Are Leprechauns gnomes, faeries, dwarves, or their own thing?

No of course not but this is neither the time nor the place to discuss the modern phenomenon of books and documentaries about discovering the "real" story behind the myths.
