One other thing, as this unfolds.

Outside The Lines is eviscerating Michigan State this week, including Tom Izzo and Mark Dantonio. Michigan State covered up a lot of assaults outside of Nassar.

http://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/22214566/pattern-denial-inaction-information-suppression-michigan-state-goes-larry-nassar-case-espn

Someone earlier described it as Penn State and Baylor combined.

The actual E60 documentary is coming on Sunday morning, 9 am. Just the preview article was damning enough to get MSU AD Mark Hollis to resign.

Also, Michigan State men's basketball is hosting Wisconsin tonight.

If only there were more warning signs that Larry Nassar might be a pedophile.

quote:

Larry Nassar boasted that people called him "the body whisperer" because of his close connections with his patients, according to a 2014 police report.

"Most of the time my eyes are closed ... Use the force, you feel it," Nassar told a detective investigating him after a young woman said he sexually abused her. "It is a conceptual thing. It is you, the patient, and the spirit."

Nassar's comment came as part of a Michigan State University Police report looking into Amanda Thomashow's claim that he sexually assaulted her in March 2014.

quote:

Nassar said this was a normal procedure that he performed on everyone, whether 10 years old or 84 years old, according to the police report. He brought his computer to the police interview and showed the detective videos in which he performs the procedure, which he claimed could fix any number of physical injuries.

"I can fix their rib by touching their bottom," he claimed, according to the police report.

In Michigan State University's Title IX investigation, Nassar said that he had a PowerPoint presentation dedicated to the procedure. One of the slides contained "Star Trek" images and was entitled, "Pelvic floor: Where no man has gone before," according to the Title IX report.

Engler: Maybe "leprechaun" will pay for MSU settlement
Updated: May 17, 2018 07:16 PM EDT

LANSING - The president of Michigan State University says he’ll get whatever help he can find to pay a $500 million dollar legal settlement with more than 300 women abused by a Spartan doctor.

The university announced on Wednesday it had reached a tentative settlement with the survivors of Dr. Larry Nassar. The former MSU and USA Gymnastics doctor abused patients for years under the guise of treatment.

That’s despite women who say they reported the abuse to university officials and a Title IX investigation into Nassar.

Now the question is where MSU will get the money to pay the settlement. Insurance companies will contribute some of the money, but the university appears to be on the hook for most of it.

Asked if he planned to raise tuition to make the payment, Engler replied “Actually, what we're hoping to do is find a leprechaun,” he joked. “No, I mean seriously, we have not made those decisions."

6 News was the only station to catch up with Engler, a former governor, at the Capitol on Thursday as he briefed lawmakers on the settlement.
