Smalling is a joke, he's mentally switched off for like 90% of matches. All the talent in the world but no footballing brain.

Matic has regressed incredibly in the past few months, he can barely make a 10 yard pass so that obviously impacts Pogba. The whole point of signing Matic was to relieve Pogba of defensive responsibility.

Mourinho's tactics are a problem as well. Playing Lukaku as a lone striker when he tries to track back to midfield to receive the ball is asinine. One of Martial/Rashford/Sanchez should play behind Lukaku as a way to try and be creative. Lukaku seems to spend most matches flicking on or knocking down balls to no one. It's not like United are lacking pace on attack, they're just not utilizing it.
