Yeah, I scored 400,000,000 points in Jackal the other day, which was a nice warmup before I attempted a 36,000,000 clear in the 2600 version of Centipede. My friend gave me a copy of Rush 2049 recently as well, may try to get the world record for doing every racebackwards while blindfolded. We'll see though. Everybody, for 25 years: *clears throat*

Lmfao the guy was like, a site admin or something. So he just went into random games with no score attempts and just wrote 1,100,000 with no verification because no one on the planet would ever look.

"As chief referee, and as I was not the referee who authenticated the score, and as the one that did was gone, I saw this as a major problem. We already knew the story about the tapes (or rather, lack thereof) returned by the Glendale police to Brien King, so there was nowhere else to turn." drat this sounds pretty sick, whatever this Lore is.

Bottom line, Jace, is that this is likely one of the most implausible outcomes of all of Todd's score claims. I asked Todd to provide video proof of JUST the final 60 seconds. It never was given. Note that this score has since been removed from the TG database. Sadly, my own personal best, which was in the mid 20K range in comparison, is gone from the TG database else I would be champion at this challenge. the claimed score was 960,001 lmfao

Wormskull posted:My favorite score he got, RTM explained could only be gotten by playing nearly perfectly for 5 hours and then playing really bad on purpose for while. thats the 960,001 score. because ending the game with 1 point in the single digits column like that is ludicrously unlikely unless you throw the game very specifcially at the 6 hour mark.

Ive been browsing the Accepted Score Disputes archive and its fairly awesome. There's guys posting stuff about scores verified in 1998 and pointing out that the score counter always ends in a zero, so it would be impossible for this score to exist because the last digit is an 8. Lol

Bicyclops posted:everyone had that one day in college where you get out of class at like noon on the day a new Civ game comes out and then like 16 hours later, you finally drop out of the haze, shower, and realize you can't sleep because you see workers building railroads and hear Slavonic Dances when you try to close your eyes. This happened to me but playing Alpha Protocol two times in a row back to back.
