If anybody else is still on PS4, I'm trying to get all the online trophies for this done. PSN is Static_Rook (which was my old name here that I don't have the email address for anymore). Anyway, currently trying to blast through the story mode and Freaks missions for the editor trophies before that gets shut down on the 20th.

My online character is level 56 or so. I've got the Acid Lab, Nightclub, sub for the Cayo heist, and the stuff that came with the Enterprise pack. Haven't run any heists except for Cayo Perico solo over and over. Once I get back into the online side I'll save up and spring for the buildings needed to do the other heists. I'm assuming the PS4 version of GTA Online will get shut down later this year or when GTA 6 launches so I'll be trying to knock out all those trophies the rest of the year.

I've got a headset and mic, but my PS4 Pro is right on my desk so I tend not to use the mic much. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner going off right by your ear. Not pleasant! Anyway, add me, make fun of me for not having a PS5 or good PC, show me the discord, whatever,

And it only took 8 years! Couldn't do Hotline 2 though, too hard.

Accepted the request. Like I said, I'm trying to get the story stuff done before the 20th but after that I'll be down for more Online.

Aw, I ended up liking the Fooliganz by the end. But the Acid Lab missions were the first Online ones I did after playing a bunch of the story so they were a nice break.

But yeah, Acid Lab -> Kosatka + Sparrow upgrade -> Nightclub + all floorspace and feeder businesses is a good overall path. Don't forget to take your daily casino spin either. Got a bunch of cars, rp, and money that way too.

Man I need to get back into the PS4 version of this and get some more trophies. Then I can move on to the PS5 version sometime before GTA6 launches.

Turn aim assist on high if it's not already. Then just pop out and fire a shot or two and go back to cover. Repeat ad nauseum. It's slow but it will get the job done.

Shotguns have more range than you'd think. Forget which one exactly but one of them can one shot most mooks at a decent range with a few upgrades.

I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable will provide better info

The bunker Parts Delivery missions with the truck you just want to focus on your driving and not stop to shoot people.

I will disagree slightly on this point. I find it easier to start the mission, then stop driving as soon as I see the red circles. Get out and take out the waves of enemies right at the beginning. Take down 3-ish waves of 2-3 cars each and you don't have to deal with any enemies for the rest of the drive.

This is on console and driving from the free CESP bunker up in bumfuck coast though, so it might be different on PC and with a bunker in a decent location.

It might help, depending on how strong the enemies are; the problem I had really was that because I was in a car, I couldn't open my snack menu fast enough to heal through getting shot in the face (also I can't aim for poo poo while driving so the enemies got a lot of shots in). Might have been a different story fighting on foot with auto aim, I'll try that next time. Do all the waves come at once? that's convenient at least

All of this advice comes with the HUGE caveat that mp5 is much smarter and better at the game than me so keep that in mind:

If it's the bunker parts delivery where you have to drive the slow truck to a random Ammo Nation, then yes all the waves should come at once. Once you see the red circles on your mini-map, pull the truck to the side of the road in a way that provides you cover from the road. Then get out and wait in cover for the cars. Usually it's 2 cars with 2 people in them. They'll speed by you then U-Turn and park. Pop out from cover and take a few shots as they get out. Recover health and armor, do it again, repeat until dead.

By then more cars will be coming. Stay in cover and let them come to you. Traffic should be freaking out so they might even get hit by cars as they run towards you. Keep popping out, taking a couple auto aim shots and popping back into cover. Watch out for flankers. Ever play Time Crisis? Kinda like that. After 3 or so waves of 2-3 cars with 2 people each in them, they should stop. And you should be enemy free for the rest of the trip. After you do it a few times you'll get the feel for it.

When I said "go passive" I meant passive mode, if you ever the nightclub while in passive mode it will prompt you to throw out a troublemaker for $10k and a boost to nightclub reputation. Having high reputation means the safe earns more money.

Why entering the nightclub while in passive mode triggers this is a mystery.

Yeah this. And if you enter the nightclub while not in Passive Mode, you'll get a much more annoying reputation mission. Like slowly driving a drunk VIP home. Which if you quit or fail, hurts your rep, and thus, your cash.

Also you used to be able stand at the open nightclub safe and it wouldn't trigger the afk kick either. With max rep that could add up to almost a million while you slept. Then top it off with a sale and it was a nice chunk of change. It got patched out at some point though.

I played the Merryweather setup mission for Cayo once. Never again. Instant lobby hop if it comes up.

Nightclub boost is enough to get me to play again this week. Any idling tricks that actually still work now? Last one that worked for me was standing in front of the nightclub safe but that was patched out.

Even with the nerfs, I don't think there's a more consistent way to make a quick million than the sub. "Quick" in GTAO terms anyway.

Wait until you can get it with the Sparrow upgrade so the setup missions are quicker. The actual heist goes pretty quick. There are plenty of guides out there for the best path to take to get all the loot you can.

Try to do it at a time when you can stay on for a bit after completing it, you'll get the notice that the heist is ready again but that the island is on "high alert." It's still easy to get through, but the loot will be better. As long as you go pay the fee to start the heist in high alert then you can do the setup missions whenever.

It's very easy to get into a loop of heist -> other businesses -> setup heist -> other businesses -> heist. Repeat and lose hours.

Didn't realize it was that long now. Is that real time or in-game time?

Real time. In-game time would be something like 2 minutes if that was the case. A full day cycle in gta online is 48 minutes.

I guess I meant do you have to play 2.5 hours before it resets or is it 2.5 hours after you finish no matter what.

If it's the latter, then just set a timer or something and come back. As long as you pay the fee to start the heist while the high alert is active you can do it whenever after that (unless that got changed too).
