Polygon put up their preview last week; https://www.polygon.com/2018/2/27/17055842/star-wars-legion-review-preview-price-ship-date-availability The main hits against it were the usual FFG issues; Not enough dice- the average die pool is 7-8 but they only give you 3 of each. Lack of clarity of rules- the box only comes with a learn to play book and most of the rules are contradicted by exceptions throughout the book and the comprehensive rule book wasn't included. Hopefully that's just for review copies. The models are great though they're not snapfit.

fadam posted:It would be pretty dumb of FF to make a game that can't be played fairly at a competitive level because of lore reasons lol. Just give Rebels a "Big ole' Stick" strategy card to play on an AT-ST to give it a few wounds.

I think that's what was throwing me off on the coat. The house painter didn't even try to do a camo pattern to match the promo and movie art.

Mercenary units, while cool on paper, never work out well for a game. They're just too difficult to design around, you either end up not powerful enough to be worth taking over faction troops or they cover an area a particular army lacks and they end up being mandatory.
