I have no idea how Dortmund is doing domestically but Atalanta are in a bit of a slump, so a win for Atalanta would be a decent upset. Milan are doing great and should win so they wont, Arsenal and Napoli lol, Lazio should also have no problem but see the thread title.

So the ball gets cycled out to the RB or LB and then turned over because it's super easy to press a team against the touch line. It certainly doesn't help that 6 players max are asked to defend and the continued pushing of Bellerin/Monreal way up the field making it basically 4 players tops trying to defend huge amounts of space. Completely agreed they don't have anywhere near what they need to play 2 in midfield. poo poo they barely have players to play a functional 3 man midfield.

I always felt like a Coquelin - Elneny pairing would have given Wenger the 2 man midfield he wanted had he actually played them together regularly. e: Both of them covering the "defense" would have let Ozil/Wilshere/Ramsey/Iwobi/whoever the gently caress to freely do the attacking footy Wenger likes. His persistence for Xhaka is dumbfounding.

Elneny has been improving defensively recently, but you’re right. Arsenal’s midfielders are basically passengers who can’t defend or participate in the build up.
