Having a micropeen would be an advantage for loving fractals, you could explore all those tiny crevices

a blade of grass expresses a truth, the plant's adaptation for survival and the process by which that adaptation was constructed. it expresses the continual incorporation of non-living matter into life. if you are jesus-inclined it expresses the truth of a god that allowed such a thing to exist what truth does fractal art express? does it express mathematical platonism, the exploration of the world of ideas? the pythagorean idea of mathematics in all things? (then why is it necessary to involve the computer, which was already understood to be mathematical?) does it merely express "I have an expensive computer"? on what basis can a fractal image be regarded as something other than high-end kitsch? You can't go out in space, you can't travel in space without like, you know, with fractals. What are you gonna land on, snowflakes? cantor dust? That's dialectical mathematics

a fractal is a nonempty compact subset of a metric space that exhibits a non-integer Hausdorff dimention & exact self-similarity is literally no part of it. those sparky things are not fractals, but one could easily mistake them for fractals based on an empirical estimate of their dimension. hthth the mathworld definition is really bad btw

it is as accurate to say "there are no fractals in nature" as it is to say "there are no cubes" or "there are no point-masses" or "there are no rigid objects"
