Unless you're a superstar, you'll get paid $500-1,000 per porn scene and even fairly popular porn actors are going to have a hard time booking more than a dozen or so total per year. It's not something you can make a living doing unless you're absolute top-tier and in high demand. However, it does get you a lot of publicity and social media attention. A few decent porn scenes gets your name out there and all of a sudden you can book a lot more escort jobs and gogo dancing at clubs. Dancing and escorting is a lot more reliable, steady work than porn. Of course, it's way easier to get into porn if you're near a major filming location. OP is in Vancouver and afaik that's not really a porn production hub. If you're in Los Angeles or San Diego it's very easy to do some local porn shoots and that will kickstart your escort/dancing career.
