last couple months i've been working with a company that does all their conference calls in slack

no major complaints so far except there's usually one guy with a garbage connection who breaks up constantly

e: i forgot i've been taking every call on my desktop because the app keeps crashing on my phone and laptop. so yeah, there's that

our webex makes you enter your email address every time (it doesn't remember or save it to a cookie) before it shunts you to ADFS auth anyway

Can it sync your chats between byod and computers? Ours didn't when I first tried it and I haven't tried since

it does not

also, from BYOD, you have to sign in as a weird username you would never think to try

so if your AD account is CORP\smithj
and your email is james.smith@foo.com

then you have to sign in as smithj@foo.com

I hate WebEx but they have just launched a HTML 5 conference client so it's infinitely less poo poo now. I love join.me but the pricing is

Other contenders for crap systems include some proprietary crap from Nasdaq with a weird tiny fixed size flash page, BT MeetMe is hit or miss, mainly because the default conference options are a bit awful, like replaying someones name upon arrival.

It's either NYSE or goto meeting has a lame rear end thing that you cannot start a call after the start time, so  if the host is late.

In the last few weeks I have missed multiple conference call invites because of Skype for Business.
Every time I plug in a monitor into my laptop, Skype for Business decides that I am now doing a powerpoint presentation (why else ever need a thing plugged in your laptop or dock?), will silently mark me as busy (presenting) and hide all incoming conversations and calls only to send a notification by email like half an hour later going "you missed this one conversation!"
