I hate WebEx but they have just launched a HTML 5 conference client so it's infinitely less poo poo now. I love join.me but the pricing is Other contenders for crap systems include some proprietary crap from Nasdaq with a weird tiny fixed size flash page, BT MeetMe is hit or miss, mainly because the default conference options are a bit awful, like replaying someones name upon arrival. It's either NYSE or goto meeting has a lame rear end thing that you cannot start a call after the start time, so if the host is late. MrMoo fucked around with this message at 06:32 on Mar 1, 2018 |

I've got a couple of friends who have started using Discord for calls at work since it's free, call quality is good, it's real easy to share your screen, and you can just send someone a guest invite link that opens in their browser and there's no plugin needed

today a colleague couldn't figure out how to share a video in a meeting so she exported it frame by frame and put every 20th frame into a powerpoint slide, then presented the slide deck and clicked really fast... it was... inspired...

In the last few weeks I have missed multiple conference call invites because of Skype for Business. Every time I plug in a monitor into my laptop, Skype for Business decides that I am now doing a powerpoint presentation (why else ever need a thing plugged in your laptop or dock?), will silently mark me as busy (presenting) and hide all incoming conversations and calls only to send a notification by email like half an hour later going "you missed this one conversation!"
