This really seems like the game would work better if you just played as the witch and let Heinrich do his own immortal thing.

Minkelsus...actually seems more competent than Gretchen? Like he's actually running around, stabbing fools and blowing them up with bombs with what looks like little input from the player, while Gretchen has to be yelled at to use magic and her default voice clip is whining for help. Or maybe I've just had enough of this game's bullshit.
