Birdstrike posted:there are a number “greens should take a stand!” takes floating around, am I correct in interpreting that these are tankies trying to take over? Every person in every political party thinks they're in game of thrones/house of cards and is watching for the "enemy within".

JBP posted:What happened to bring them here you two faced threadsters? Uhh that is inconsistent with traditional elder-led decolonisation. We might support the south African government in any program to decolonise those farmers back to Holland however.

I have absolutely no idea how to make Israel relevant to Australian immigration. Unless you mean the fact that having an open border with Russian facists who were Jewish accelerated Israel's descent into apartheid?

Amethyst posted:Israel Uh Israel was a country invented during a post-war treaty process which involved removing the people currently living there and replacing them with people from somewhere else. Did you mean to say mass immigration was bad for palestine? Coz the problem with Israel right now isn't immigration but rather apartheid

BBJoey posted:most likely, but the influence a faith based organisation can wield over government as opposed to for example the mining or business lobbies is quite small. churches are dwindling in political importance (see for instance the same sex marriage plebiscite) and it’s not going to get better any time soon. Yeh unless it's the ACL he won't find much religious work. There's a reason tim costello went into world vision and not parliament.

All this AB hate is just coz y'all can't handle a bit of revolution qld-style. - LW was always going to get her seat back because number 2 was meant to be her little brother not AB - BP is to earn his number 2 seat with stop adani/Galilee blockade - AB was never going to stay in the Senate (because of the above points) - AB campaigned in QLD during the federal election, LW campaigned in Vic. (Fun fact just to muddy the "waters" when goons ITT play pin-the-tree-tory-label-on-the-greenie) - Qld Greens would never touch the LNP (unlike the aus greens) and the attack on ALP is to reinforce their "revolutionary credentials" (because in practise qgreens and qalp are basically the same thing, only difference is one wins seats). Qalp votes are going down and qgreens want to catch them, and AB mixes with the activist crowds who are all secret young labor members and he is trying to convert them.

Should wages be calculated based off what other companies pay their workers or how much other people in their company earn? The electricians might get paid more than those in other companies, but if their bosses get paid more, surely they should as well?
