relative terms - deader than, not dead. there was a complaint about outdated software - this probably isn’t going to be better for macports. homebrew has most stuff I need and use, but each have a lot of stuff that the other doesn’t. homebrew is more modern and active and is the ‘default’ package management suggestion for that reason, no?
