I loved EQ lore to a point. PoP I guess. Did anything ever come of Gates of Discord/Taelosia lore? Curious if it ever fit in, if it was swept under the rug, if they revisited it in EQ2... days later edit: did some googling and apparently in EQ2 Mayong Mistmoore wandered in, beat everyone up, and plopped a vampire mansion and/or castle in the middle of the continent. Warhammer Online ditched 4/6 of their capital cities to launch faster as well. IIRC you could see their outskirts but not enter them. It was my first big disappointment as a warham nerd followed by how stiff the gameplay felt.
